City Through a Pinhole
City through a pinhole was a project I was given where I had to create my own pinhole camera from a biscuit tin and then use it to take photos of Glasgow. I really enjoyed using my pinhole camera, and it’s really surprising how great a photo you can get from a ‘biscuit tin’. I had made a pinhole camera once before at A-level, but my experience had be very basic in comparison. It’s quite tricky to get the exposure time right, and the weather in Glasgow was for ever changing, so it wasn’t easy to get a rough time for exposing the light sensitive paper, but it made it all the more pleasing when you got a decent photo developed.

Nice set of pinhole images. Its pretty awesome how a simple process such as pinhole photograph can produce such wonderful images isn’t it? Who needs a lens anyway?
Thank you very much! It really is such a great process, and it’s so easy. It’s much more rewarding when you get a good photo than if you took it digitally, it really is wonderful.
